177th Fighter Wing, 108th Wing Strengthen ACE Capabilities durin
Three F-16C Fighting Falcon fighter jets assigned to the 119th Fighter Squadron, with the New Jersey Air National Guard’s 177th Fighter Wing, return to base in formation during Operation Pegasus Dawn at Aviano Air Base, Italy, Oct. 21, 2024. Pegasus Dawn was an Agile Combat Employment training mission with the purpose of assisting the 108th Wing’s transition from flying KC-135 Stratotanker refuelers to the newer KC-46 Pegasus model. Pegasus Dawn consisted of a mixture of Offensive Counter-Air and Defensive Counter-Air training missions to sharpen the New Jersey Air National Guard’s Agile Combat Employment capabilities.
