CMSgt Jeffrey K. Lee is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, at the 177th Fighter Wing, New Jersey Air National Guard. In this position, he serves as the principal advisor to the wing commander on matters regarding the effective utilization, professional development, combat readiness, of over 1,200 enlisted personnel. The 177th Fighter Wing has a dual mission. The federal mission is to provide combat ready citizen Airmen and equipment in support of United States Air Force objectives. While simultaneously supporting the citizens of New Jersey by protecting life, and property, preserving peace, order and public safety when called upon by the Governor of New Jersey.
Chief Lee enlisted into the New Jersey Air National Guard on April 12, 1997. He began his career as a Security Response Team member with the 177th Security Forces Squadron after graduating from the Security Forces Academy at Lackland Air Force Base (AFB) in 1998. While assigned to the 177th Security Forces Squadron, Chief Lee has held several positions such as squad leader, non-commissioned officer in charge (NCOIC) of the standardization and evaluation section, and Flight Sergeant. In September 2001, Chief Lee was mobilized in support of Operation NOBLE EAGLE, and he has deployed in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM. Prior to his current position Chief Lee was the Senior Enlisted Leader, 177th Maintenance Group, 177th Fighter Wing.
In the civilian sector Chief Lee is a Police Lieutenant with a law enforcement agency located in Atlantic County, New Jersey. In this capacity he serves as the Operations Division Commander. His primary duty is to provide organizational direction and management of 30 sworn police officers and 8 civilians who are responsible to identify and resolve community concerns related to crime, societal, and quality of life issues. His previously held positions include Patrol Commander, Patrol Sergeant, Field Training Officer, and Operator / Medic, Atlantic County Emergency Response Team District #1.
